ABOUT THE OTTAWA DISTRICT
Special Olympics Ontario is a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to providing year-round sports training and competition opportunities for individuals with an intellectual disability. As part of the international Special Olympics movement, the Ottawa District Community of Special Olympics Ontario is committed to providing much needed physical education programs to more than 600 local athletes. Our programs are operated by over 250 dedicated volunteers.

Volunteer Needs!
Our Ottawa Soccer Club needs volunteer coaches desperately – there are currently 5 open positions that need to be filled! The club practices Saturdays from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Ridgemont High School. To apply, please send an email expressing your interest in applying for the position to our Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer_coord@ottawaspecialolympics.org. You may also download the forms on the “Volunteer Registration Process” page and submit those at the same time.
Additionally the Orleans Swimming club is in desperate need of a Head Coach and Assistant Coaches. Please use the same process as above to contact our Volunteer Coordinator.
